前回の場面の続きからです。

Dialogue 

JENNIFER: That's good advice, Marty. （いいアドバイスじゃない、マーティ）

MARTY: All right, okay, Jennifer. What, what if I send in the tape and they don't like it? I mean, what if they say, l'm no good? What if they say, "get outta here, kid, you got no future?" I mean, l just don't think I could take that kind of rejection. Jesus, l'm starting to sound like my old man. （分かったよ、それじゃあ、ジェニファー。もしテープを送って、彼らが気に入らなかったらどうする。つまり、イケてないって言われたら。「勘弁してくれ、君に将来性は無い」なんて言われたらどうすればいい。つまり、そんなふうに断られることに耐えられないんだ。まいったな、親父のようになってきた）

JENNIFER: Come on, he's not that bad. （ねぇ、お父さんはそんなに悪くないわ）

WOMAN: Save the clock tower. （時計台を守りましょう）

JENNIFER: At least, he's letting you borrow the car tomorrow night. （とにかく、明日の夜に車を貸してくれるんでしょう）

WOMAN: Save the tower. （時計台を守りましょう）

Vocabulary 

rejection 拒絶 at least とにかく borrow を借りる

Study 

what if I send in the tape and they don't like it? what if 主語＋動詞～で、もし～だったらどうする。疑問詞で始まるが、疑問文の型にならない点に注意。cf.）What if it rains tomorrow?（もし明日、雨が降ったらどうする）

get outta here,  outtaはout ofのくだけた形。get out of hereは直訳すると、ここから出て行け。その他に、嘘でしょ、信じられない、という意味でも使用される。

he's letting you borrow the car tomorrow night.  let＋目的語＋原型不定詞で、目的語に～させる。cf.）I will let you know when I get home.（帰宅したらお知らせします）
